• Nights of Lights St Augustine, Florida

Just when you thought St Augustine was by far the most amazing and unique town in the country – you discover the Nights of Lights Festival! If you and your family haven’t experienced it yet – this one needs to be added to the bucket list – kind of at the very top of the list in slot number one of things to do in your life time!

The Nights of Lights Festival in St Augustine turns this incredible 1565 historic town into a star dazzling display over over 3 million lights for a period of two months over the holiday season! Oh and one more thing, the National Geographic rumor? Well it’s actually not a rumor after all. National Geographic’s press team visited St Augustine during the festival and has since proclaimed the Nights of Lights festival to be one of the best displays of festival lighting in the world.

Local stores and restaurants have special late hours of operation during this time -oops I almost forgot to mention when! The festival starts the week before Thanksgiving and stays open till the end of January each year. Among things to do are a romantic horse and carriage ride through the old part of town, a trolley tour and our very most favorite which is seeing the best parts of the lights by doing a Florida water tour by boating around the old fort and famous waterfront strip.

Give us a call to book in advance, as this is a particularly busy time of year for us. Should you wish to book at Riverton Beach House in St Augustine, you and your family will be able to explore the Nights of Lights exactly like the residents of the old town would have many years ago and see all the sites with a simple walking tour.
